On Monday, September 7, 2020 Tori was a part of the Be An #ArtsHero Times Square event. The event was comprised of 100 Arts Workers all spread out(socially distanced of course) to represent the 100 members of US Senate. From actors to musicians, to designers to stage managers to ushers. The performance was directed by Sam Buntrock, choreographed by Katie Spelman, music directed by Kim Grigsbysang the song "Will I" from RENT, while holding a sign of their name and occupation in the arts field.
Be an #ArtsHero is an intersectional grassroots campaign comprised of Arts & Culture workers, Unions, and institutions in the United States pushing the Senate to allocate proportionate relief to the Arts & Culture sector of the American economy.
Arts & Culture adds $877B in value to the economy and employs 5.1M people and is 4.5% of the GDP. The movement is an oportunity to senators all of the US to become Arts HEros, to support the DAWN act and allocate for $43.85B in relief to the arts.
